You know, if we run out of bedrooms, we could just clean up the spot under the roof upstairs and have a really big bedroom, or even split it into several.

Well, we're not using it right now, and the stairs go all the way up there... I just thought since it wasn't being used, it might be an idea, right?

*pause* But that'd mean we should make a bathroom up there too, wouldn't it? If we make bedrooms up there later?

What kinds of games would we play in there? I can play tug of war with Noireau in the yard, so....

Isn't that what the living room and dining room are for? I thought.... *not sure exactly what he thought, but it sounded right.*

You mean like... *frowning more, trying to figure something out* ...like the living room, with a couch, but it has a bigger TV, and you.... you and other people, you.... ... you all.... *dangit, he almost knows this. Why does he almost know this? *eyeing the Dreamberry's keyboard as he's holding it in both hands, trying to figure this out. One hand on each side of the little thing, his thumbs are up over the keys, and he's not sure what it is this reminds him of* ....I.... think so? But you have more people there, and... it's something you're watching on the TV that's really fun? *bites his lip* Or... no, it's... you... uh.... *frowning more* What was it?

*hi there, term he hasn't heard before.*

[The voices are somewhat muffled and random button noises are heard.]

[Suddenly there's a short video and you see a boy with purple hair on the screen before it fades to black again and the feed cuts off completely.]

*answers, in the kitchen and cooking again -- taking something out of the oven. Looks like a round cake pan, only it's got... who knows what that is, in it. There's another such thing sitting on the counter already, covered in melted cheese, with a slice taken out of it, cross-section revealing a darn lot of bacon and egg. And mushroom and.... is that a bacon-laden quiche of some kind?*

*lil smile at recognizing her* Oh, hey... what's up?

[...What the hell.]

Oh, I just wanted to check up on you. And make sure you were alright after... after all that's happened.

*it's BACON CAKE, Naomi! BACON CAKE!*

*but.... "after all that's happened?"*

*looks around the kitchen. Sure he spilled a little cheese, and the trash can is full of bacon wrappers, with Noireau eyeing it and the pan still on the stove... but that's not really out of the ordinary, for their lil household.*

*smile gone finally, returns his attention to the Dreamberry*

What all's happened?

[GOD I DO NOT WANT BACON IN MY CAKE.]

*there's that odd feeling that something's not right....*

...Harley, Abel has left Somarium to return home.

*sets the hotpad down on the counter. He's not sure what to say for a moment*

*quiet still, not saying anything for just a moment.... forget standing up in the kitchen, he'll sit down on the floor against the counter where he is, and pull the puppy up into his lap*

Yes, he woke up. I'm sure he's back in France now.

*lil nod, not sure what else to say again, petting on the puppy*

So it's... kind of like how you woke up a while ago too?

Yes. [A little surprised that Harley even knows that.]

There's always the chance of his return, but I wanted to contact you to make sure you were going to be alright without him.

*oh, come on, Naomi. Would anyone be more likely to know than Abel's roommate, if Abel's crush disappeared? ...besides Abel and said crush herself? ;) *

*eyeing the phone... checks the contact list, and sighs. He's going to hug the puppy closer, now that he's confirmed it and it's starting to sink in.*

*quieter again* No one stays awake forever, right? He'll have to go back to sleep sometime.

Logically, yes.

*nods* So... he'll have a dream sooner or later again, and come back. Like you did.... *glances back up at her a moment, then wipes his eyes* He liked it here, so he should come back, right?

Are you alright on your own? Can you take good care of the dog?

*a hesitant nod*

I just have to keep doing like he was doing with her, right? Don't feed her too much human food, and don't let her get away with causing trouble? Make sure she behaves, and take her for walks? I'm sure Rise'll help...

*little pause... seems to get some other idea, and quickly checks the contacts list again, only to relax after he does. Good, Rise was still here!*

*about to say something else, and finds himself wiping his eyes again. He eyes the tears that got on his fingers, and frowns a little, mumbling to himself* ...stupid leaking...

[Unfortunately for Harley, Rise had other plans for the rest of the day. So she'll be leaving the chocolate she made for you on the counter of the kitchen. Inside the small package is some giri choco ("obligatory chocolate") that Rise made herself. Unfortunately, she added a few more things that weren't on the menu to add to the flavor.

A little note sits under the package. It reads:

"Here's some of the chocolate I made earlier, Harley. I made sure to make some extra fro you. I hope you like them. Happy Valentine's Day! ♥

P.S. I'll be back a little late tonight~ Don't wait up. -Rise]

*chocolate definitely counts as one of those new flavors he enjoys -- and he hasn't had quite enough experience with it yet, to know when he doesn't like it. Chocolate with almonds, or raspberry, or peanut butter, or ginger, or chili -- Rise's is just another flavor, right?*

*...so as long as she didn't flavor it with something poisonous, he'll probably be okay. Physically, anyway.*

*...and because he found some chocolate and stuff that he liked, he'll leave her some of the day's spoils on the kitchen table -- a box of truffles, some chocolate-covered strawberries... and a handful of what looks like Butterfingers.. The only note he left is a small piece of paper with her name on it. He'll probably be asleep in bed when she gets home, and using Noireau as a foot warmer. ♥*
